  From what information I have this Church was established in 1889 and my family had settled here 34 years earlier. This Church was the "center" of this rural community until 30 or so years ago. A large tornado damaged or destroyed the Church on April 16, 1939 just after a funeral service and several people were killed. The entire area was decimated from the storm. The community repaired/rebuilt the Church and I was told my Grandfather helped with the construction and was the one who built the pulpit. I am in the process of gathering the required materials and facts to apply for the Church to be listed on the Arkansas and National Historical Registry.
